SML Charity Home Tour begins planning for 2022

  • Updated

The SML Charity Home Tour is searching for board and committee members to join its all-volunteer team as planning gets underway for the 2022.

These positions have typically been filled by people new to the lake, recently retired or even people who went on the tour and decided they want to be a part of making it happen. It’s a way to get involved in the planning and execution of one the largest community events in the area.

Each year the tour has a number of positions and can help any volunteer find a role that fits their unique skills and talents. And for those looking for a broader leadership role, there will be an opportunity next year.

After many years as the tour’s executive director, Sandra Morse is stepping down. She will remain on the board in another capacity and will be there to assist the incoming executive director.

“Leading an event that touches every part of the community has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life,” Morse said “Nothing is more fulfilling than giving eight regional charities a check to support those they serve.”
